What is BioBarrier® Graywater?
The BioBarrier® Graywater a treatment system specially designed to treat the Graywater in homes: water from sinks, dishwashers, showers, etc. The system uses a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) that removes organic pollutants and suspended solids with the use of ultrafiltration membranes. Depending on local regulations, the treated water can be used to irrigate plants, wash outdoor surfaces, or flush indoor toilets.
How Does it Work?
The membrane module is submerged in a tank full of aerated MLSS (Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids), where organic matter and suspended solids are biologically broken down. The membranes physically separate water from microorganisms and suspended solids. Water is drawn through the membranes with a pump, leaving the suspended biomass material in the aeration tank.
